Avon Data’s Hotel Executive customers can benefit from text message credits up to 60% cheaper this year. The property management system will now offer SMS credits for just six pence – down from previous rates of 10 to 20 pence.

The property management system will now offer SMS credits for just six pence – down from previous rates of 10 to 20 pence.

The Hotel Executive SMS service is a great way for hotels to keep guests informed and promote special offers.

It allows hotels to send bulk text messages from within their guest history, making the most of their database.

It will automatically send a text message to guests to confirm their reservations, enquiry or change of booking.

Hotel staff can send personalised text messages to guests from within their reservation or records.

The system also takes into account which modes of contact a guest prefers so the SMS service can be deactivated where guests do not wish to receive texts.

The benefits of SMS communication are:

- An SMS messages can reach a customer wherever they are as long as they carry a mobile phone

- The chances of the recipient receiving and reading the message is very high

- SMS marketing has been shown to have an open rate of 98%, compared to emails for example which have an average open rate of just over 20%.

- Higher open rates mean higher conversion rates.
